Types of Authorised Council sacks
Orange refuse sacks - 84p each
Authorised orange council sacks can be purchased from our sack stockists to dispose of extra household refuse (general rubbish).
Place the orange sacks by the black refuse (general rubbish) bin on your refuse collection day.
Sacks must be able to be easily lifted and tied at the top, to prevent being overfilled.
Unauthorised sacks of refuse, such as black bags, will not be collected.
Clear recycling sacks - 12p each
Extra household recycling that can't fit into the recycling bin can be put into any clear, see-through sack.
Clear sacks can also be purchased from our sack stockists.
Place the clear, see-through sacks by the blue or blue-lidded bin on your recycling collection day.
Sacks must be able to be easily lifted and tied at the top, to prevent being overfilled.
Green garden waste sacks - £1.20 each
Authorised green council sacks can be purchased from our sack stockists to dispose of extra garden waste.
They can also be used if you do not have a garden waste (brown) bin.
Place the green sacks by the black refuse (general rubbish) bin on your refuse collection day. These sacks are not collected by the garden waste collection crews.
Sacks must be able to be easily lifted and tied at the top, to prevent being overfilled.
Unauthorised sacks of garden waste, such as black bags, will not be collected.
